Marloes Sands Beach

Marloes Sands Beach is over a mile of golden sand in Pembrokeshire that any family will love for a Family Day Out.

Marloes Sands Beach has some amazing views and is exposed to the full force of the ocean. Due to the stunning nature of this beach, it has been used in some Hollywood movies, such as the 2011 film "Snow White and the Huntsman" featuring Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart were shot here. The 1968 historical drama "The Lion in Winter" was also filmed here.

You need to be careful on this beach, keeping your eye on the tides as when high tide happens it pretty much covers the beach and will leave the only exit via the up the cliff sides!

The kids will have loads of wildlife to see here including seals and loads of amazing birds, as the nearby islands of Skomer and Skokholm are home to colonies of puffin, shearwaters, petrels, razorbills and just about any other type of sea bird you can imagine.

There is a National Trust car park is around half a mile away and the nearest facilities are in the village of Marloes which is a little bit further up the road.

There is no lifeguard service here and dogs are allowed on the beach all year round
