Swanlake Bay in Pembrokeshire is a beach your family will need to walk quite a bit to get to but it will be a stunning Family Day Out once you get there.
In South Pembrokeshire is Swanlake Bay and you can get to it by walking down the Pemmbrokeshire National Park Coastal Footpath. The closest car park is in Manorbier, so it takes some time and effort to get there.
Due to the remote location this beach is never busy and is definitely a hidden gem in the area. Most of the beach is made up of shingle, however at low tide more sand is exposed, so there is scope for building sandcastles. There is more sand on the east side of the beach and more rockpools on the west side. There is also plenty of birdlife around this area.
There is no Lifeguard service at this beach and dogs are allowed here all year round
