Castles in West Wales

Laugharne Castle Carmarthenshire

Laugharne Castle

Laugharne Castle is a magnificent medieval castle which turned into Tudor mansion later. Both Dylan and author Richard Hughes put pen to paper in the castle’s garden summerhouse.

Built in the 13th century by the de Brian family, Laugharne Castle looks out over the estuary and has lovely Victorian gardens to stroll through.
