All Stars Cricket Returns to South West Wales for 2019

The ECB’s Programme to inspire the next generation of cricketers will run in over 2,000 clubs across England and Wales this summer.

All Stars Cricket is a fantastic initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board that began in 2017 and is aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket.

2018 was a strong year for All Stars in South West Wales with over 1,000 children taking part across 40 clubs and we are looking to build on that again this summer.

By registering for All Stars Cricket, your child will be guaranteed eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development. The programme is suitable for all children new to cricket and sport as the sessions are designed to teach the basic skills of the game. For an hour a week over an eight-week period, our fully trained and vetted activators will deliver game-based activities that teach basic cricket skills such as:

Batting – hitting a moving ball
Throwing – underarm and overarm
Catching – small and large balls
Bowling – overarm
Running – lots of movement
Teamwork – fun games with friends
Communication – the basics of cricket
Spirit of Cricket – how to respect others
