David Walliams Honoured with Bright Yellow Post Box

How wicked is this Bright Yellow Royal Mail post box that has been designed in honour of children’s author and comedian David Walliams.
Located outside the Natural History Museum in Kensington, London David Walliams has had a bright yellow Royal Mail post box placed in celebration of his hilarious children’s books.
This lovely bright yellow post box is decorated with pictures of the characters, quotes and excerpts from David Walliams books.
Walliams’s book The Ice Monster references London’s Natural History Museum, so this seems a fitting location for his post box to be placed.
David Walliams is of course over the moon with his post box and told the press “I am an advocate of letter writing. Letters are so much more meaningful than a text or email, So I hope this encourages children to use their local post box.”
Mark Street, head of campaigns at Royal Mail, said: “As one of the guardians of the written word, we relish the opportunity to celebrate the work of some of Britain’s most treasured writers. With such a rich history of children’s literature, it seems only fitting that this work is honoured on some of our iconic post boxes.”

This post box is one of four decorated by Royal Mail in honour of some of Britain’s most popular children’s authors. Other famous authors that have had Royal Mail post boxes decorated in celebration of their work includes Judith Kerr whose box in situated in Barnes, CS Lewis whose box is situated in Belfast and Frances Hodgson Burnett whose box is situated in Manchester.
