We have been getting creative in the kitchen with the kids and our Halloween Edition Haribo Scaremix and Trick or Treat mini bags and some Haribo Chamallows so we thought we would share our recipes so you can enjoy making them too.
Haribo Filled Love Cupcakes
Weird, coloured cakes are a norm at our Halloween House Parties so it was a given that we had to make at least one green cupcake, but we decided to add some yummy flavour so we added Haribo. what you will to make these Haribo Filled Love Cupcakes is
3 Large Eggs
175g Unsalted butter
175g Self-Raising Flour
175g Caster Sugar
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
½ tsp Baking Powder
Green Food Colouring
All the Haribo’s from your Scaremix packet that doesn’t have the white foam part on it
What you will need for the Icing
600g Sifted Icing
Sugar 300g unsalted butter
4 / 5 drops of Cotton Candy Flavouring
Green Food Colouring
How to Make Haribo Filled Love Cupcakes
Place your cupcake cases onto a baking tray ready and preheat your oven to 180 °C / Gas Mark 4
Put the unsalted butter, caster sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder and vanilla extract into a mixing bowl and mix together using an electric hand-held whisk until you have a light and smooth creamy mixture.
Add green food colouring to your mix until enough that you are happy with the colour
Place all the Haribo’s from your Scaremix packet that doesn’t have the white foam part on it into a china bowl and place into the microwave to melt for 30 seconds, then stir and put back in for another 30 seconds and stir and if needed put back in for another 10 or 20 seconds until all the Haribos are melted.
Very quickly once all the Haribo are melted pour into the cake mix and whisk in and then scoop the cake mixture into each cupcake case.
This mixture should make at around 12 cupcakes.
Bake the cupcakes in a preheated oven at 180 °C / Gas Mark 4 for 35 to 40 minutes or until cooked through, you can test this by pushing a cocktail stick into the cake and if it comes out clean then the cupcake is done.
Make sure they have risen and are firm to touch then place on a wire rack to cool
To make the icing to go on top of the cupcakes beat the sifted icing sugar and unsalted butter together.
Then add in the flavouring mix in and then add your colouring until you get to the colour you want.
Make sure your cupcakes are totally cooled before Icing, once you have piped the icing onto the cupcake place a Love Heart from your Scaremix packet onto the top and they are ready to enjoy.
Ghost Haribo Chamallows
These cute spooky treats are so super easy to make all you will need is
140g bag of Haribo Chamallows
200g White Chocolate
Black Writing Icing
How to Make Ghost Haribo Chamallows
Break up the chocolate into a china bowl and pop it into the microwave for 30 seconds, stir then pop back in for another 30 seconds or until it’s all melted.
Push a Haribo Chamallow onto a cocktail stick and dip it into the melted white chocolate and place onto a plate then carefully take the cocktail stick out.
Once you have covered all the Chamallows with white chocolate place them in the fridge until the chocolate hardens
Using your black writing icing get creative and draw little ghost faces on the Chamallows and serve on a plate ready to be enjoyed
