Parents can now apply for a space in the new nursery class which opens in Ysgol Parc y Tywyn this September in Burry Port, Carmarthenshire.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s full council has now approved that part time nursery provision will be introduced at the new Parc y Tywyn school building in Burry Port.
As of 4th September 2018, there will be 45 part-time nursery places available at the school, which up until now has only accepted pupils from the age of four, but now will accept them from the age of 3 on a part time basis.
Cllr Glynog Davies, executive board member for education and children’s services, said: “Providing part time nursery provision at Ysgol Parc y Tywyn ensures that the school falls in line with all the other primary schools in the area.
“The new provision will ensure that children in the area have a smooth transition into the foundation phase, giving them the best possible start to their education.”
Another big day for this school is on Monday 9th July which will see all the current pupils moving into the new school building.
If you are looking to secure a place at this nursery, don’t forget that parents only have until July 31 to apply for a place for their children to start part-time this September. For more information and to apply online Click Here
