Every summer the centre of Tenby is mainly a vehicle-free zone and Pembrokeshire County Council have announced the dates that the Tenby pedestrianisation scheme will run for 2019
This year the walled town will be pedestrianised from Monday 1st July until Friday 13th September between the hours of 11am until 5.30pm.
The scheme will be suspended for the Long Course weekend which is the 6th to 7th July and because the pedestrianisation scheme ends on the 13th July the Ironman Wales event will not be affected this year.
In future years the pedestrianisation scheme will always run from the first Monday in July through to the second Friday in September.
This permanent timeframe has been chosen following a questionnaire and consultation exercise that Pembrokeshire County Council carried out after last year’s scheme which trialled the new dates.
Only certain vehicles are permitted entry during this scheme and you can find out more about these expects and also apply for a permit if you required on Pembrokeshire County Council Here
