At Pembrey Country Park, prepare for an enchanting open-air theatre like no other! With a temporary outdoor stage, the magic doesn’t just happen at night. Picture yourself surrounded by the park’s natural beauty, enjoying captivating performances under the blue skies or twinkling stars. No need to fret about seating; just bring your outdoor chairs or cosy blankets, and let the whole family relish this unforgettable experience of day and night theatre magic!


Friday Fun for the Whole Family

Kickstarting the weekend in style is ‘The Munch Mission‘ on Friday, August 18th, at 2 pm. With mystery, comedy, and a dash of film noir, this interactive theatre show is perfect for ages 6 and above. It’s a thrilling adventure that everyone can be a part of, making it a fantastic outing for the whole family.

Later that evening, at 7.30 pm, the sensational country music duo, The Shires, will grace the stage. Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes have taken the country music scene by storm, and they’re ready to enchant audiences with their open-air acoustic concert. Expect to hear songs from their latest album, ’10 Year Plan,’ as well as beloved classics like ‘I See Stars.’ The Shires’ heartwarming melodies will have you singing along and tapping your feet all night long.


Saturday: A Day of Enchantment

On Saturday, August 19th, at 11 am, be transported to the enchanting world of ‘A Midsummer’s Day Dream.’ It’s an interactive adventure filled with song, dance, fairies, and the magic of nature. A perfect show to ignite the imaginations of the young ones and leave them with memories to cherish.

At 5 pm, Quantum Theatre takes the stage with their charming adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s beloved classic, ‘The Wind in The Willows.’ Join Mole, Ratty, Badger, and the lovable Mr. Toad on their whimsical adventures in the English countryside.


Sunday Funday and an Unforgettable Evening

Sunday, August 20th, promises to be a fun-filled day for everyone. Kick off the morning with ‘Wellbeing in the Park‘ at 10 am, where you can indulge in Yoga Art amidst the scenic outdoors. Later, at 11.30 am, get ready for a unique experience with Blue Health, a silent disco-style nature walk that will uplift your spirits.

As the sun begins to set, prepare for an unforgettable evening of music with West End star, Lucie Jones, taking the stage at 7 pm. Accompanied by The Welsh Film Orchestra, Lucie will weave a mesmerizing musical journey, joined by returning favourites Ania Davies and Sean Lewis. And, as a special treat, the cast of Kinky Boots: The Musical from Melyn Musical Theatre Company will make an appearance for one night only.


Monday: The Bard and More

On Monday, August 21st, at 7 pm, get ready for an exciting twist on Shakespeare’s timeless plays with ‘MacHamLear.’ This innovative performance explores the genius of the celebrated writer with passion, pep, and punch. Be a part of the action and cast your vote in the battle of The Bard!


Tuesday: A Magical Family Adventure and an Operatic Finale

Tuesday, August 22nd, brings delightful family adventures with ‘The Conjurer of Cwrtycadno‘ at 11am, 2 pm, and 5 pm. This theatre show and treasure hunt combo offer an enchanting experience for all, complete with integrated British Sign Language and audio description for accessibility.

The festival closes on a high note with ‘Noson Glasurol | A Night of Opera‘ at 7.30 pm. Join Rhian Lois, Trystan Llŷr Griffiths, and John Ieuan Jones on a magical journey through the classics of opera, musical theatre, and Welsh favourites, all accompanied by the talented Caradog Williams.
