Our Landrover safari's will allow guests views of Red, Fallow and the lesser known Pere David Deer- the 3 deer species in Margam Park
The annual deer rut is one of Britain's most exciting autumn wildlife spectacles.
The Park exclusive Rut Safaris offer the chance of a close up first-hand encounter, the parkland provides an ideal location for seeing stags and bucks in battle and gives the chance to follow the action as it unfolds. The autumnal parkland can act as camouflage for the russet-coloured coats of the red deer, but their rutting routine is hard to miss - see the sights, hear the sounds and smell the Autumn!
The landrover safaris will be led by John Crannage. John has worked in the Park for many years - his enthusiasm for and knowledge of the Park deer is second to none, he is also able to adapt the tours to cater for specific interests guests may have.
The safari will be primarily in the Park Landrover - options for a short walking stalk within the safari are possible. Guests should be able to step up into the Landrover. Appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended. Cameras and binoculars are recommended but not essential.
The safaris will take place whatever the weather.
