This year the Banff Mountain Film Festival UK and Ireland tour is coming to Wales via virtual night. Families can get their adrenaline fix watching these inspirational films this Autumn.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival was unable to complete its annual tour of Wales earlier this year, but an unexpected bonus of coronavirus means we are now able to offer the events virtually for the first time ever, meaning anyone who missed the live events, or only saw one film programme, has the opportunity to catch up on these inspirational films this autumn.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival has two programmes the Blue Film Programme and the Red Film Programme, which include short films such as skydiving in Mexico or skating on the spectacular frozen fjords of Sweden.
These collections of short, adrenaline-fuelled films are made by the world’s best adventure filmmakers. As well as ground-breaking expeditions, so viewers can expect captivating cinematography from little-known corners of the planet delivered straight to their sofa!
One short film that has grabbed our attention is Danny Daycare, which features Danny MacAskill from Scotland who is one of the world's top trials bike riders.
Trials biking means using urban features to pull off all sorts of crazy tricks and in this film Danny is asked to babysit his friend's toddler Daisy, and instead of sitting at home doing colouring in he takes her for a spin through some amazing Scottish scenery in a bike trailer, doing some impressive stunts along the way!
Be interesting to see if they might not ask him to babysit again...!
Each event will feature a live prize draw to win fantastic outdoorsy goodies, and the shows are available for 48 hours afterwards too.
