This February Half Term you can take part of Freshwater Habitats Trust’s annual Big Spawn Count in the ponds at Denmark Farm in Ceredigion.
This Big Spawn Count event is a family friendly event with everyone welcome to take part and help look for signs of toad and frog spawn.
You can learn more about ponds, and the features of a wildlife-friendly pond with our Site Manager Linda Bradshaw-Wood.
There will be two separate sessions running on the day, one in the morning from 10.30am until 12noon and the other in the afternoon from 1.30pm until 3pm.
You can also enjoy the delights of the Pop up Café, where you can buy some hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes from 12 to 4pm.
Although it’s advised you bring a packed lunch, as Denmark Farm is open for walks around the trails and picnics every day from dawn to dusk.
