Breadcrumbs at Glowyr is a magical, music-filled theatre show for families, featuring Wrongsemble’s playful twist on a classic tale.
If you’re on the lookout for something magical, energetic, and totally family-friendly this summer, Breadcrumbs at Glowyr is a brilliant pick for your diary. This brand-new production from Wrongsemble brings a delightfully cheeky spin to the story of Hansel and Gretel, filled with puppetry, music and more than a little mischief.
Performing at Glowyr Theatre in Ammanford on 26th July, audiences can catch this enchanting show at either 11am or 3pm. Breadcrumbs at Glowyr is all about sibling squabbles, wild imaginations, and a race against time through an enchanted forest. Hansel and Gretel just can’t stop bickering about who’s faster, who’s smarter, who’s Mum’s favourite and when they suddenly find themselves lost in the middle of a magical wood, even that becomes another thing to argue about! With only a trail of breadcrumbs to help them find their way, they must figure out how they got there and how to get back home… hopefully before tea.
Created for children aged 3 and up, this fun-packed family performance is a clever retelling of a much-loved fairytale, proving that even the most familiar stories can surprise you in the right hands. Wrongsemble’s signature mix of imaginative staging, music, magic and a dash of puppetry makes this a playful and accessible theatre experience that’s great for young audiences—and equally enjoyable for grown-ups.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting West Wales for the summer holidays, Breadcrumbs at Glowyr is a heart-warming and laughter-filled outing to enjoy with the kids. It’s a brilliant way to spark imaginations and enjoy live theatre in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
Tickets are £9.50 full price, £7.50 for concessions, or £32 for a family of four. Advance booking is recommended and can be done via the link.
