About the Show

It is winter…. the wind howls and paper flies around the streets.

A derelict house stands desolately in the middle of the town square. The windows are shattered and a keep out sign bars the front door. A furious bird has taken up residency in the chimney and squawks territorially when anyone comes near the house. A young girl wrapped up in wooly hat and scarf makes her way towards it chatting hopefully to the audience as she approaches the deserted building . Could this be somewhere to make a home? She shimmies acrobatically up the curtain which flows from the top window before anyone has a chance to stop her….

One by one three very different characters arrive through the audience and try to take over the house. A battle of wills and skills ensues as they chase each other out of windows, ducking and diving while ingenious plans evolve as each person tries to gain a room inside the house for Christmas. Little by little in a choreographed frenzy of acrobatics, silks trapeze, hat juggling and slap stick comedy they begin to accept each other and work to create a home together within the battered house turning it into a warm and jolly home for Christmas…. The only remaining problem... the furious bird in the chimney.
