This festive season, Pembrey Country Park is all set to dazzle you with its spectacular Christmas Light Trail. Imagine a 500m-long path meandering through the enchanting forest, illuminated by a kaleidoscope of vibrant lights. And we think the kids will love this mesmerising journey into a winter wonderland with the Christmas Light Trail at Pembrey – and guess what? This sparkling adventure is absolutely free!

As you stroll through this twinkling trail, lasting about 20 minutes, you’ll find countless opportunities for those perfect festive photographs. Each step is a chance to capture memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you’re snapping selfies or capturing the glistening trees, there’s something magical at every turn to help you and your family dive deep into the Christmas spirit.

The beauty of this trail is its simplicity. There’s no need for bookings or guides; it’s a self-led adventure. Just follow the arrows, stick to the one-way system, and let the lights guide you. And if you fancy a warm-up, the Ski centre is open, offering access to toilets and the chance to indulge in a delightful hot chocolate. It’s the little comforts like these that make the Christmas Light Trail at Pembrey a perfect family outing.

Designed to be accessible, the trail is pram-friendly, making it ideal for families with young ones. However, do keep in mind that you’ll be venturing into woodlands, where the paths may be uneven or a tad muddy at times.

Dog lovers, rejoice! Your furry friends are welcome to join in the festive fun, provided they are kept on a lead. We all love a bit of exploration, but it’s crucial to respect the trail by not touching or removing any of the lights. And, of course, maintaining a respectful distance from other visitors is key to ensuring everyone has a jolly good time.

Now, for an extra sprinkle of Christmas magic this year, there’s the Christmas Village and a chance to meet Father Christmas himself in his cosy woodland cabin! While the trail is free, meeting Father Christmas requires a booking and a small fee, which need to be done in advance.

“Don’t forget to bring along your festive cheer and a camera to capture all the joyous moments. Just a heads up, though – the Christmas light trail might be subject to cancellation on short notice if the weather turns a bit grumpy.”

So, wrap up warm, grab your loved ones, and immerse yourself in the twinkling beauty of the Christmas Light Trail at Pembrey. It’s a festive experience that promises to be both enchanting and memorable.
