Have you got what it takes to complete the May Mud Run in Pembrokeshire?
Take unforgiving land, idyllic scenery, an abundance of natural obstacles, with a few extra man made challenges. Put all of these ingredients together and we have an action packed course suitable for all. (with a bit of training!)
The Really Muddy Weekend is ideal for all. Whether you're a group of friends, a touring sports team, a family day out, a work related team building session or as a charity fundraiser. It really can hit all the buttons.
A 5 mile cross country run that will see you enter the sea up to waist height as you touch the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and take the plunge into the many ponds, go under the logs, in the bogs, and climb the nettle net! Go through the tunnel of not much love, up the tramalator, through the extreme stream and face whatever else may be put in front of you.
An obstacle filled action packed 5 miles, which can be raced or trotted around with a group of friends, ideal for hen/stag groups, team building or charity teams.
The obstacles are mainly all natural, and the man made ones are designed to blend in to the rural environment. The main thing to remember in your preparation is that the obstacles are not technical so you should be able to manage them all. However if you do not fancy any particular obstacle there is always an option to pass on it!
A 3k mud run experience for 4 to 15 year olds. This is a great way to get the kids out onto the land to have some fun whilst challenging themselves as they run, crawl and climb their way around the Man-Up in the Mud course. The course will be safe and parents/guardians will be able to walk around the course with the kids where there will be some great photo opportunities.
These events are fun, but they are also demanding. You will need a good level of fitness and mental attitude to complete it. As well as aerobic fitness, you will also need a bit of upper body strength and be prepared for the conditions. Training should include a program, which sees you prepare for the task in hand.
