Neath Carnival Weekend, now known as NRT Fest, is back for a fun-filled two-day celebration at Cwrt Herbert Playing Fields in Neath. Taking place on 11th and 12th July in 2025, the event brings together music, entertainment and family fun in one lively package. Entry to Saturday’s Family Fun Day is free, while tickets for the live music nights are £13 per person.
The Friday fun kicks off from 5.30pm until 11pm with Strudt’s Fun Fair, bar and food stalls buzzing with energy. One of the most anticipated highlights is a headline set from 90s dance legends N-Trance. Also performing will be The Hat and the Fiddle Band, DJ Jonny Griffiths and more, so you’ll want to get there early to soak it all in. N-Trance’s iconic tracks like “Set You Free” bring a nostalgic burst of rave energy and are sure to get the crowd moving.
Saturday’s daytime hours from 11am until 4pm are all about families. The free Family Fun Day offers plenty to keep kids entertained, including DNA Kids Cool Disco, character meet and greets, a free circus workshop hosted by Circus Eruption, and dramatic live action from Medieval Combat Wales. Families can also enjoy food and drink while browsing the fair and all without spending a penny on entry.
From 4pm until 11pm, it’s back to live music and festival vibes with another standout line-up. Chesney Hawkes headlines with his classic hit “The One and Only” plus brand-new music from his upcoming album, “Living Arrows”. You’ll also catch sets from The Lost Cause, Also Strung Together and more. Strudt’s Fun Fair, bar and food stalls will continue into the evening.
Neath Carnival Weekend, now known as NRT Fest is an outdoor event, so bring a camping chair if you fancy settling in. There’s no parking available on-site at Cwrt Herbert Playing Fields, but nearby town centre car parks will open just check closing times. Advance tickets for live music are available from the Gwyn Hall website for adults aged 16 and over. Under 16s tickets can be purchased at the gate, and under 6s go free.
