As part of the Cadw Open Doors this year Laugharne Town Hall will be offering visitors free entry to explore this weekend.
The Town/Market Hall, which dates back to the 1750s, is the home of the Laugharne Corporation, a unique organisation founded by Charter circa 1290. The Corporation holds Court every other week. The business is conducted by The Grand Jury under the control of the Portreeve.
Come and visit the Court Room which is generally closed to the public, and listen to a series of talks about the history of the Corporation and its present role.
The Town Hall is located at the end of the main street and is a landmark building with a clock tower.
