Open Doors at St Ystyffan Church, Llansteffan

As part of the Cadw Open Doors this year St Ystyffan Church will be offering visitors free entry to explore.
This medieval church, with a Grade II* listing, is located in the centre of the estuary village in the former borough and port of Llansteffan, and is overlooked by a medieval Norman castle.
Some church treaures will be on display, which may include plates from the 17th and 18th centuries and the Coconut Challis.
There will be an exhibition on some historical aspects of the village. Also documented will be the work undertaken for a book by the local History Society to mark the centenary of the end of WW1 and the war’s impact on the community during and after The Great War. Details about the names of those who appear on the memorials in Llangynog , Llansteffan , Llangain and Llanybri may also be available.
