The annual family-friendly and much-loved Pembrey and Burry Port Carnival is set to return once again this year, promising a fantastic day out for everyone! With a vibrant atmosphere and a plethora of activities, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer’s day with your loved ones in the lead up to the school holidays. The carnival kicks off at 12 noon with a bustling array of stalls, funfair rides, and delicious food stalls. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the lively sounds of live music setting the tone for a day filled with joy and laughter.

At 1 pm, all participants of the procession are invited to gather at the RNLI station. The grand parade, a highlight of the carnival, will commence its journey at 1.30 pm, winding its way through the streets in a spectacular display of colour and creativity. By around 2 pm, the procession will arrive on the field, where the mayor will announce the winners for both individual and group categories. It’s a moment not to be missed, as the community comes together to celebrate the hard work and imagination of all the participants.

For families, there’s an abundance of entertainment to keep the little ones happy. From engaging games to thrilling funfair rides, children will find plenty to amuse them throughout the day. Meanwhile, adults can enjoy the offerings on the Live Music Stage, savour a variety of culinary delights from the food trucks, or relax with a drink from the bars. It’s an event designed to ensure everyone, regardless of age, has a fantastic time.

The festivities will draw to a close at 6 pm, but the memories made will last much longer. To ensure you don’t miss out on this wonderful event, remember to click the “add to calendar” button at the top of the page. It’s a handy way to keep track of all the fun activities planned for the day.
