The Perfect day out in Carmarthenshire at Pontyberem Carnival, after the fantastic success of last year’s event, the walking carnival is back and followed by an afternoon of family fun in Pontyberem Park.

Activities for the whole family includes:

BBQ
Bar
Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos
FREE donkey rides for children
Carnival Bake Off Tent*
Magician
Fun races for different age groups
Tug of War competition
Sam’s Perform Academy performing at intervals
Sweet Stall
Snow Cones
Toy Stall
Waffles & Crepes
Fair Ground Rides – on the rugby pitch all rides will be priced at £1.50 or £2

*Drop your bakes off at the Bake Off tent from 10am on Carnival Day up until 1.15pm – judging will commence at 1.30pm with the winners being announced around 2pm. If you would like to drop your entry off the night before you may leave it in the cricket club.Please write your name and contact number on the underside of your entry and specify if the entry is for the adult or child’s competition.

There will also be a Kids Disco from 6pm onwards, there will be a DJ doing a disco for the children, and anyone else who wants a dance, on the grass around the cricket pavilion area – free of charge and will be a great way for the children to end the carnival day celebrations!

There are prizes up for grabs:

Best Street:

1st – Trophy and £100
2nd – £50
3rd – £25
Each street will take part in the carnival and will have a co-ordinator

Best adult costume – Trophy

Best child’s costume 1st, 2nd & 3rd who will each receive a craft pack and small Trophy.
