Take your Family to find out about the Regency life at National Botanic Garden of Wales over the May Bank Holiday Weekend.
Find out about life and times of young people at Middleton Hall, “the splendid modern seat of Mr. Paxton” around the year 1800. William Paxton’s new mansion would have just been built and the surrounding parkland landscape approaching completion. Find out what it was like to be a part of the household of such a modern and forward thinking gentleman who had spent so much time with the East India Company.
You can visit the Discovery Space in the Great Glasshouse to find out more about Middleton: Paradise Regained
On Monday afternoon, at the site of Sir William Paxton’s mansion, young people supported by Mess Up The Mess Theatre Company will be performing a play at 2pm, 2.30pm and 3.00pm, created over the weekend, exploring real and imagined Regency characters and incidents at Middleton Hall.
There will also be Regency inspired family activities taking place throughout the bank holiday weekend on the Millennium Lawn from 11:00am – 3:00pm.
