Swansea Science Festival Family Weekend

Start Date: 26 October 2019
End Date: 27 October 2019

This October Half Term you can enjoy a jam-packed weekend of fun, learning and activity at the Swansea Science Festival Family Weekend.

Celebrate the everyday and extraordinary science around us as Swansea University in partnership with the National Waterfront Museum hosts the largest free Science Festival of its kind in Wales

This Science Family Festival weekend will be held at the National Waterfront Museum and the Dylan Thomas Theatre

There will be many different zones, where you’ll be able to take part in over 40 free interactive exhibits, along with sensational shows, talks and workshops and an abundance of hands-on science activities for all ages and levels of knowledge, you will experience science as never before.

Suitable for the whole family, this free festival gives science a hands-on approach with plenty of activities to get involved in.

During this family weekend, experience the spectacular and sensational to the gruesome and gory and join us for optical illusions, mischievous experiments and inspirational talks.

Pay a visit to ‘Lyons Wand Shop’ where you can make your own unique wand using code, catch a glimpse of TV Wildlife Biologist Lizzie Daly and say ‘Ello!’ to CBeebies’ Mr Bloom for our tots special.
