  • Lost Children and Information facilities – If you lose your child simply report this as soon as to any steward who can call it over the radio to be whole security team.

Few Tips for Parents Visiting the Air Show with Kids

Be mindful this is going to be a Super busy event and kids can wonder off in just seconds, so its best before arriving to talk to your child about what to do if they become separated from you.

As much as possible keep hold of your child’s hand and keep them close to you. Easier said than done with all the excitement and activities going on and also if you have more than one child, but you know your children best so hold onto the ones most likely to walk off.

Not everyone is a fan of reins or wrist links, but as this is going to be a really busy event, you might want to think about using them for your child’s safety.

Use the Tag your Tots wristbands on all your kids, even if the older ones don’t want to wear it they can pop it in their pocket, cause either way it will mean if lost you can all meet up quicker.

Explain to your child if they get lost to not panic, stand still and look for you. If they still don’t see you tell them to look for a steward who will be wearing a really bright high vis jacket or any person that is wearing an armed forces uniform. It might be a good idea to show them pictures of what they might look like before you arrive, so they know what to look for and also once you arrive when you see them point them out to them.

Scary as it may seem, but just in case you do get split up on arrival use your mobile to take a good photo of your child, one that shows what they are wearing and one that shows a good recent face shot this way if needed you can hand this to stewards or police so everyone knows exactly who to look for.

Don’t forget the water, the weather looks like its going to be good, so don’t forget being outdoors all day you need to keep you and the little ones hydrated more than if at home. It’s a pain carrying water around but well worth it
