Enjoy a Medieval wild food walk and foraging workshop at Cilgerran Castle in Carmarthenshire
Join a professional forager on a foray around the castle and grounds, looking at the seasonal wild food and using it to make medieval inspired snacks. Wander through the woods to the gorge, gathering and identifying wild plants that would have been used both edibly and medicinally. Return to the castle grounds, where you will supplement your foraged finds with some tasty cultivated herbs from the medieval herb beds. Then use your bounty to make a wild green pesto - a modern twist on the medieval 'verde sawse' - and some herby flatbreads cooked over local charcoal.
Suitable for all ages (children to be accompanied by adults).
