The National Trust Colby Woodland Garden are inviting families to join them in celebrating World Book Day as they host loads of fun Family Friendly Activities
You will need to book your place to take part in the Creative Workshop at Colby Woodland Garden with Eloise Williams, author of Gaslight (Firefly), and the first-ever Children's Laureate Wales.
Here’s More info for Parents about these Children’s Creative Workshops
Children must be accompanied by an adult and you should book your place into the most relevant workshop out of the following:
The kids can try and solve the clues on the indoor trail and find puffling and her friends playing hide and seek around Colby Woodland Garden.
Use your World Book Day £1 token that you were given at school or nursery and exchange it for one of this year’s World Book Day Books in the reception/shop area of Colby Woodland Garden.
Find out how much you know about animals in the fun animal facts quiz.
Test your knowledge by guessing if the facts are true or false and then submit your own animal facts for the competition. Entries drawn at random will win a paperback copy of Evie and the Animals book by the same author and illustrator. Matt Haig.
You can get all the info about this when you arrive at reception.
Find your next favourite book at the second-hand bookstore at Colby. There will be books for all ages and interests and in fact this bookstore is open most of the year for you to enjoy, not just for World Book Day Weekend
This Second-hand Bookstore does rely solely on donations, so if you do have any at home, especially children's books then why not bring them along to donate.
Any proceeds from the sale of these books go to maintaining Colby Woodland Garden for everyone to enjoy.
