Swansea Bay is a sand beach with patches of mud and stones. Swansea Bay stretches from the mouth of River Tawe to Mumbles and there is a promenade, cycle path and the Mumbles Road run that is behind the beach for its entire length.
This section of Swansea Bay by Sketty Lane, is mostly sand with a few mud patches. There is no lifeguard patrol on this section of beach and dogs are allowed on here all year round. There is nearby shops, café’s and pubs.
