Kidwelly Castle

The family will enjoy a trip to Kidwelly Castle overlooks the River Gwendraeth and the town of Kidwelly in Carmarthenshire

Kidwelly Castle is a Norman building and the earliest castle on this site was made of earth and timber, but later rebuilt in stone. Your family will love exploring this well-preserved Castle.

There is wheelchair/buggy access in visitor centre and the monument. Access to upper levels of monument is limited to walkers. There is a toilet is available for users with a disability and limited mobility. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on the lead

Between 1st March until 30th June open daily from 9.30am until 5pm
Between 1st July until 31st August open daily from 9.30am until 6pm
Between 1st September until 31st October open daily from 9.30am until 5pm
Between 1st November until 28th February open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 4pm, Sunday 11am until 4pm

Closed 24th, 25th, 26th December and 1st January

Family – £11.90 – Admits 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16
Senior citizens, students and children under 16 – £2.60
Disabled and companion – Am ddim/Free
All children under 5 receive free entry.
