Llawhaden Castle
This is a fortified Bishops Palace rather than a castle and is located on an impressively high ground overlooking The Vale of the Eastern Cleddau.
There is an impressive shell of the gatehouse and the outer wall to the south side is fairly complete and includes a modern staircase to access the battlements for superb views. The inner keep is mostly grass and there are some rooms and partially vaulted undercrofts to explore.
There is a small free parking area near the castle.
