Family Halloween Movies on Disney Plus, Netflix and Amazon Prime

Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2

The original Hocus Pocus from 1993 sees the three Sanderson Sisters witches conjured up by some unsuspected pranksters who set about casting a spell over Salem town in attempt to reclaim their youth, but they need to outwit three kids and a talking cat.

Fast forward to the new 2022 Hocus Pocus 2 movies that is set 29 years later since someone last lit the Black Flame Candle. The Sanderson sisters were resurrected and looking for revenge, with three high school students trying to stop them before the dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.

Under Wraps and Under Wraps 2

First Movie from 2021 sees three friends accidently revive a mummy they find in a neighbour’s basement and must rush to return him to his resting place before midnight on Halloween.

The New 2022 movie Under Wraps 2 sees Amy preparing for her father’s Halloween themed wedding to his fiancé Carl when Amy, Gilbert and Marshall discover that their mummy friend Harold and his beloved Rose may be in danger, and they must help.

Muppet Haunted Mansion

The world-famous daredevil the Great Gonzo takes on the greatest challenge of his life by spending the night in the scariest place on Earth, the Haunted Mansion. This musical comedy reunites Kermit and the entire Muppets gang, who portray the ghosts of the Haunted Mansion in this funny Muppets adventure.

Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas

This is a much-loved Halloween Classic. Bored of the scare and scream routine Pumpkin King Jack Skellington longs to spread the joy of Christmas. But his mission puts Santa in jeopardy and creates a nightmare for good little boys and girls everywhere.

Frankenweenie

This dark Tim Burton’s movie is about Sparky an ordinary family dog that amazingly is brought back into his owner’s life as Frankeenweenie, it’s a funny movie kids love.

Upside Down Magic

Upside Down Magic is a movie about Nory and her friend Reina attending Sage Academy for Magical Studies, where Nora’s wonky magic finds here sent to a class for people with upside down magic.

The Haunted Mansion

Eddie Murphy is an estate agent who with the help of supernatural psychic Madame Leota his family must battle to break Gracey Manor of its old age curse.

Mickey’s Tale of Two Witches

On Halloween Mickey Mouse tells a tale of two witches in training Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck, who must pass four different tests to graduate from the Witch Academy in Happy Haunt Hills.

Zombies 3

This New 2022 movie sees Zed and Addison’s in their final year at Seabrook and Seabrook has become a haven for monsters and humans. Zed is trying to get a football scholarship and the first Zombie to attend college while Addison is planning an International Cheer Off, which turns into more than just a friendly competition.

Hulk Where Monsters Dwell

This Marvel movie has Dr Strange, Hulk and the Howling Commandos fight nightmares as he crosses the Dream Dimension on Halloween.

The Curse of Bridge Hallow

This new 2022 funny Halloween movie follows a family who move to a quaint little town called Bridge Hollow and something very spooky happens and every ones Halloween decorations start to come to live and take over the town.

Ivy and Bean the Ghost that had to go

We are huge fans of Ivy and Bean, and this movie out last year will be on our watch list again this year. When mist, weird sounds and an eerie voice starts to come from the drain in the school bathroom Ivy and Bean start investigating to see if the place is haunted.

A Witches Ball

Beatrix is so excited to finally be inducted as a witch but in a twist of fate an unfortunate incident threatens to take her pending title away from her unless she acts fast.

Monster Island

This is a fun animated movie where a teenager discovers he is not really a human and ventures off to a remote island to explore where he came from and is confronted with a series of wild challenges.

Werewolves Within

Released last year this werewolves movie is a great choice for teenagers. A snowstorm traps a group of eccentric town people inside a local inn as the forest ranger looks for the mysterious creature that is threatening the community.

The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants Hack-a-ween

This a fun Captain Underpants Halloween themed movie. It see Melvin try to cancel Halloween and Harold and George create their own spooky holiday which is a huge success, the kids loved this short movie.

A Babysitting Guide to Monster Hunting

A babysitter who has been recruited by a secret society of babysitters has to battle the boogeyman and his monster friends after they kidnap the boy she is looking after on Halloween.

The Craft and The Craft Legacy

The original craft movie from 1996 is all about a new girl who starts a catholic school and makes friends with three other girls who are teenage witches. Together they cast spells on fellow classmates before turning their powers against each other.

2020 saw a sequel to this classic movie called The Craft Legacy which again is based around high school students with supernatural gifts who form a coven of witches but struggle to control those powers. Its a fab movie choice for the teenagers.

Pac’s Scary Halloween

This Cartoon Halloween movie sees Dr Pacenstein plot to swap bodies with Pac Man during a Halloween Party, with Spiral, Cyli and Counrt Pacula coming to save their friend.

Vampires Vs. the Bronx

Three kids from the Bronx neighbourhood stumble upon a sinister plot to suck all the life from their beloved community so try to save them from the vampire nest.

Beetlejuice

This is a Halloween classic. A couple move to the country but get killed in an accident and return to their home as ghosts. Trying to remove the obnoxious new owners they call on the services of a demented but hilarious Beetlejuice.

Room on the Broom

This is a fab animated film from the same creators as The Gruffalo and follows a witch as she goes on an adventure on her broomstick. She loses her hat, bow and wand, but she makes new friends along the way who help her find them and save her from a witch eating dragon.

Ghostbusters

Another classic for Halloween is Ghostbusters, a team of scientists lose their positions at a university in New York City, so they decide to become “ghostbusters” to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They come across a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city, so they must save New York from complete destruction. Amazon Prime also have Ghostbuster 2 and 3 to watch as well.

Roald Dahl’s The Witches

This is a fun tale of a boy and his grandmother who encounter some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches, so grandma wisely whisks him away to a seaside resort. Unfortunately, though they arrive at the same time as the world’s Grand High Witch has gathered her fellow witches from around the world, all undercover in hope to carry out an evil plans

The Adams Family 2

Our favourite spooky family are back. Upset that their children are growing u, Morticia and Gomez decide to take Wednesday, Pugsley and Uncle Fester in their haunted camper for one last holiday but nothing goes to plan.

CoComelon Halloween Songs

Kids can join JJ, his friends and family on a CoComelon Halloween journey. With costumes, candy and some friendly spooky scares. Kids can enjoy singing along with CoComelon to all the Halloween fun songs.

Hotel Transylvania 4 Transformania

New for 2022 this Amazon Original sees Van Helsings mysterious invention go wrong. Drac and his friends are transformed into humans and Johnny becomes a monster. In their new mismatched bodies Drac and Johnny must team up to find a cure and switch back before the transformation becomes permanent.

100% Wolf

Freddy Lupin is the heir to a proud family line of werewolves, and he is desperate to becomes a werewolf, but what a shock when on his 14^th birthday his first transformation goes all wrong and he turns into a ferocious poodle.

Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children

From director Tim Burton this fantasy adventure is all about a secret world for children with unusual powers. Jake follows clues left by his grandfather to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, for him to find a magical place known as Miss Peregrine’s School for Peculiar Children. The mystery and danger build as residents learns about their special powers and terrifying enemies, but Jake discovers that only his own special peculiarity can save his new friends.

Wolves

One for the older kids is this gritty suspense movie where a high school student wakes up to find he is changing into something vicious, unpredictable and wild. After his parents are viciously murder it leaves him go in search of his true heritage.
