Paddington is Back as Royal Mint Releases a New Series of 50p Coins

Paddington Bear, an all-time family favourite and classic from British children’s literature is off back on his Adventures and Royal Mint has captured it at the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral on their new series of 50p coins
When Michael Bond created Paddington, he couldn’t have foreseen just how popular the little bear would become. 60 years later, Paddington began a new adventure on two United Kingdom coins struck in 2018 celebrating the 60th anniversary of A Bear Called Paddington. These 50p coins showed Paddington Bear outside Buckingham Palace and at Paddington Train Station, two of the most famous locations from his adventures.
Following the popularity of the first coins in 2018, Paddington now stars on two new 50p coins alongside two famous London landmarks, the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral and they look just adorable.
