Searching for the ideal stocking filler or a new gem for your child’s Christmas book collection? Discover our review of the enchanting ‘Santa Jaws Children’s Book’ by Mark Sperring, a festive read that’s sure to inspire and delight!

We are really starting to get into the festive mood now and to add to this feeling we have been lucky enough to have been sent a copy of the children’s reading book Santa Jaws, to review in exchange for us sharing with all our readers our honest thoughts about the Festive Kids Book.

The Storyline

Available in both paperback and hardback Santa Jaws tells a funny story of a Santa Grotto under the sea for all the fishes.

Santa Jaws tells the tale of how a Shark decides to set up a Santa Grotto in a cave, but how no fish would visit, but Sid the Squid did.

Sid is obviously surprised to find a Shark in Santa’s Grotto, but they go on to have a wonderful adventure together spreading Christmas cheer to all within Coral Town.

The Illustrations

The Illustrations in this book have been done by Sophie Corrigan and are charming, colourful and completely brings the story to life. Some of ours and our child’s favourite pictures were when the Sid the Squid talks about licking candy cane and building a snowman as his face was funny.

We also loved seeing Santa Jaws for the first time, intrigued as instead of being captured by the proverbial beard and red costume, our eyes were drawn to the bright white teeth!

We also enjoyed the image of Santa Jaws flying over Coral town as we loved looking at all the fishes little homes

And not forgetting when Sid the Squid gives Santa Jaws a big hug as we get to see his Christmas red costume as bright as bright as his teeth.

Would we Recommend this Book for Your Child?

We just loved Santa Jaws, admittedly we do love sharks anyway, but aside from that this was just a delight to read together with the kids.

It has a quirky rhyming style throughout, and repetitive wording made it easy and fun for the little ones to read aloud.

The book is a nice large book for little hands which always brings excitement to page turning and the illustrations don’t disappoint either.

We highly recommend ‘Santa Jaws’ for a festive family read, available on Amazon for £6.64. Dive in with your kids for a delightful Christmas ocean adventure this holiday season!
