REVIEW: Jana Reinhardt Polar Bear Jewellery

Well over Christmas we were very kindly sent a Jana Reinhardt Polar Bear Necklace and asked if we could share our honest opinion of it with our readers and we have to say this could definitely be the perfect gift to end your search.
Having been a lover of Polar Bears since a child, I would class myself as an expert on Polar Bear gifts, especially Polar Bear Jewellery and I can honestly say the difference between a poor attempt and an exceptional attempt at anything Polar Bear comes down to one feature…. It’s all in the Neck!
Bless I have been bought so many Polar Bear Jewellery items over the years, including some really expensive items from the Hubbie but sadly the neck has been too short and odd that it’s just made them a Grizzly Bear not my lovely Polar Bears and resulted in them staying in their boxes!
So goes without saying the first thing that caught my eye about the Jana Reinhardt Polar Bear necklace we were sent was the perfect long neck, in fact all the featured have been totally nailed, from the slight dip to the back, curve to the bum and shape of the big puffy feet.
Instantly this attention to detail made It clear to me from the second I saw this necklace that the maker loved making it, as much I loved looking at it, as they noticed all these finer details that other makers fail to see as being important.
The Jana Reinhardt polar bear necklaces can be made in a range of materials so it can match anyone’s style. It can come in a standard carefully sourced sterling silver, which if you would rather, can then be plated in rose gold, or yellow gold vermeil as a finish style.
Or for that super special gift, all the polar bear designs can also be cast in 9ct or 18ct white, yellow, rose gold or even in platinum.
The Jana Reinhardt polar bears come in different sizes. We have been sent the Tiny Polar Bear which is called little Jonty, He is about 10mm in size but as you can see from the photos it’s not that small and as he stretches to sniff the air in an iconic Polar Bear stance, Little Jonty still make a very big statement. The larger size bear is Daddy Polar bear and he is about 20mm x 14mm.

Who is Jana Reinhardt Jewellery?
Jana Reinhardt Jewellery was founded in 2006, by a husband and wife team of master award winning goldsmiths, Jana Reinhardt and Ross Cutting.
All their pieces are entirely handmade at their seaside studio in West Sussex, using the old methods of wax carving and fabrication, rather than machine manufacture.
These traditional techniques have no negative effect on the environment and mean every piece is entirely unique, and means they can offer a range of services to personalise your jewellery items from engraving or adding extra bling with glittering white sapphires
Jana is a certified master goldsmith and a graduate of the Zeichenakademie, Hanau, one of the oldest goldsmith training centres in Europe and Ross is a graduate of Sir John Cass University in London, where he studied jewellery and silversmithing, working as a freelance goldsmith for 10 years before joining Jana in 2010.
Jana Reinhardt jewellery is meticulously crafted and made entirely in the UK. Jana’s whimsical designs are largely inspired by nature and the naive art movement.
Her collections include everything from rainbows and unicorns, to mother and baby elephants and graceful hummingbirds.
