Carmarthen Park is a lovely large park with plenty of open grass areas and it holds lots of family friendly events throughout the year.
Carmarthen Park houses Wales’s first velodrome cycle track, which has been recently regenerated. Other facilities in the park includes a skateboarding area in the north-west corner of the park. There is also play equipment and a green gym, however this outdoor fitness equipment are designed just for adults.
If you don’t want to take a picnic to this park there is the Tea Shop at Carmarthen Park which is open daily from 10.30 am serving tea, coffee, cold drinks, ice cream and light snacks and even has outside and inside seating areas.
