What is the Swansea Fringe

The Swansea Fringe is part of the Swansea International Festival. Forming an end celebration of the International Festival, The Swansea Fringe brings together a packed programme of fun, exciting, dynamic and vibrant events, that take place in different venues across Swansea City Centre. You can expect to enjoy Live music, Poetry, Art, Readings, Comedy, Family events and more.

2018 is the second year that the Swansea Fringe has been held since the 1990’s and the support for this event is growing.

 

Where does the Swansea Fringe Take Place

Each event is held at different venues across Swansea City Centre, from shops, cafes to bars and outdoor space.

 

When is the Swansea Fringe

This year the Official Launch of the Swansea Fringe will take place on Thursday 3rd October 2019 until Sunday 6th October 2019

 

How Much does it Cost to Attend the Swansea Fringe

There are two different types of events at the Swansea Fringe Free and Ticketed.

The Free Events are exactly that just simply turn up and enjoy

The ticketed are £5 if you just turn up at the door or you could buy Fringe Day or Weekend Tickets, which are £12.50 for the Day Ticket and £25 for the Weekend Ticket. Once you have these you can attend as many ticketed events as you wish on the day or over the weekend depending on which you have bought.

You can buy your tickets online HERE and take your print out of purchase to the Wristband Exchange at

Three Lamps, 2 Castle Street, Swansea, SA1 1JE. You can also purchase / redeem Festival passes at the Official Launch Party in the Brangwyn Hall on October 3rd

All the Swansea Fringe Events can be found in the online Official programme HERE, you will see next to each event listed it will say at what venue it is being held, date and time.

 

Are there Family Friendly Events at the Swansea Fringe

Yes, there are a few great Family events included in this year’s Swansea Fringe and to make your life a bit easier we have listed some of them here:

 

On Saturday

Superhero Outdoor Cinema

As Part of this year’s Swansea Fringe Swansea Council are bringing the Avengers Engame to Swansea City Centre’s Big Outdoor Screen. There will be a Free outdoor showings of the film, superheros to meet and greet and fun entertainement for all the family. For Full info Click Here

Games Day

Saturday and Sunday

Live Outdoor Stage

On for both Saturday and Sunday the Live Music Stage this year’s Swansea Fringe is for childre 14 years and over adn must be accompanied by an adult
