Carmarthenshire May Bank Holiday Bin Collections

Here is a little helpful reminder that there will be changes, to our bin collections over May Bank Holiday and what the changes are
Across Carmarthenshire there will be changes to the day your rubbish is picked from Monday, May 31st until Friday, June 4th. The changes are simply that your normal bin collections will take place one day later than usual, so if your normal collection day is:
With all collections being back to normal from Monday 7th June These changes will also affect the garden waste pickups as well.
And if you are making a big Family Meal for all the family, make sure you either compost your vegetable peelings or they go into your food bin, which is collected weekly, along with any leftovers.
If you are not too sure which day your normal collection is, or if it is Black or Blue bag week, then you can check this by clicking here and just type in your post code.
Waste Recycling Centres
Remember we are in the Summer Opening Times now at all recycling centres which means they will be open from 8.30am – 7pm.
Also, the recycling centres in Trostre (Llanelli), Wernddu (Ammanford), and Whitland are all open on Bank Holiday Monday. Unfortunately, the recycling centre at Nantycaws (Carmarthen) is currently closed for public safety reasons following a fire and due to covid restrictions you still need to book an appointment in advance which can be done via the council website or by calling 01267 234567.
