Changes to Bin Collections this Christmas and New Year in Swansea

Here’s a little reminder that there will be some changes to bin collections dates for residents in Swansea over the Christmas and New Year period
The all-important dates for when your food, green, pink recycling and black rubbish bags will be picked up over the Christmas and New Year’s period in Swansea.
A lot more rubbish tends to be produced at this time of the year, so people are being urged to try and recycle as much as possible. Pink bags should be used to recycle all your plastic. Green Bags should be used for glass, cans and foil, e.g. mince pie cases, cardboard packaging, paper, wrapping paper and cards. Your Christmas food waste should go in green food bins so that it can be taken for composting.

There are also changes to recycling centre opening times over the Christmas period.
Llansamlet, Clyne, Garngoch in Gorseinon, Penlan and Tir John in St Thomas are all closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
They are open 8.30am to 1pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, all other days are as normal 8.30am until 5pm.
