Clydach Christmas Lights Switch On

Due to Storm Darragh the parade has been CANCELLED. However, the festivities will still be taking place indoors at Forge Fach from 4.30pm

Get ready for an evening of festive fun at the Clydach Christmas Lights Switch On, a free family-friendly event on Saturday 7th December. Organised by Clydach Community Council, this much-anticipated annual celebration is the perfect way to embrace the magic of the season.

The event kicks off with the Clydach Christmas Parade, starting at 5.30pm from Vardre Road Community Centre. This year’s parade promises to be the best yet, with a cheerful procession making its way through the streets of Clydach.

The festivities tie in perfectly with the Neath Young Farmers Tractor Run, which will pass by the Mond just before the big moment: the countdown to Santa switching on the lights of the magnificent Mond tree at 6pm. This dazzling display is sure to delight spectators of all ages as the tree lights up the evening.

After the tree lighting, the parade will continue down High Street to Forge Fach, where the celebrations will carry on in full swing. Santa and his elves will be waiting in his grotto, ready to welcome children and families for a magical Christmas experience.

At Forge Fach, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The main hall will host lively entertainment, ensuring the festive spirit is in full flow. Meanwhile, Brew & Bloom will be open, offering delicious turkey rolls and other seasonal treats to keep everyone warm and satisfied.

Please note that road closures will be in place from 5.30pm to 6.30pm to ensure the safety of parade participants and spectators.

This wonderful event is a fantastic way for families to come together, celebrate the season, and enjoy the community’s festive cheer.
