Clydach Fireworks is back and ready to light up the night! This family-friendly event is a must-see for all firework enthusiasts. Organised by Councillors Matthew Bailey, Brigitte Rowlands, and Gordon Walker, along with the fantastic support of Friends of Coed Gwilym Park, this year’s display promises to be bigger and better than ever.

In previous years, this event has been free, but due to some changes, there’s a small fee of £2 per person, payable in cash at the gates. All proceeds go towards covering costs and ensuring the magic continues. Gates open at 5pm, and the fireworks display begins at 7pm. Expect a night full of vibrant explosions, community spirit, and unforgettable memories.

This event isn’t just about fireworks, it’s fab for bringing the community together. With the councillors stepping in to organise the display, they aim to minimise smaller, individual displays that can be dangerous and disruptive. Instead, everyone gets to enjoy one grand, safe, and well-coordinated spectacle.

Parking can be a bit tricky, so leave your car at home if possible. No parking is allowed at Waverly Park, and roadblocks will be in place. However, there are plenty of village car parks nearby, like Vardre Road Community Centre, Fair Field Car Park, and The Coop. If you must drive, be considerate and avoid blocking driveways.

You don’t want to forget about this event, so click the “add to calendar” button at the top of the page. That way, you won’t miss out on any of the fun.
