The Coed Gwilym Park Easter Egg Hunt is going to be an egg-citing event, and it’s set to be a lovely day out for families looking to enjoy some springtime fun in the fresh air. Happening on Sunday, 20th April from 10am to 3pm, this event takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Coed Gwilym Park in Swansea and promises plenty of Easter magic.

Organised by the Swansea Canal Society, this fun-filled day is all about enjoying the great outdoors while getting into the Easter spirit. The Coed Gwilym Park Easter Egg Hunt is free to attend, and children will love spotting hidden eggs throughout the park and canal paths. The hunt runs alongside the opening day of the 2025 canoe and kayak hire season, so there’s even more reason to make a day of it.

Fancy a little adventure? Boats – including canoes and kayaks – are available for just £6 an hour, with the last boat hire at 2pm. It’s the perfect chance to paddle along the peaceful canal and spot signs of spring as you go. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned paddler, it’s a lovely activity to do as a family.

Kids (and grown-ups!) are encouraged to wear Easter bonnets or go all out in fancy dress – the more colourful and creative, the better. Alongside the egg hunt and boat hire, there’ll also be a selection of craft stalls dotted around, so you can enjoy a browse, maybe pick up a handmade treat, and support local makers too.

It’s a brilliant mix of activities for all ages, with plenty of space to run, play, and relax. Whether you’re joining in the hunt, having a paddle, or just soaking up the festive atmosphere, this event is a wonderful way to spend Easter Sunday in the heart of nature.
