The Kidwelly Food & Drink Festival is a one-day, family-friendly event that stands as a celebration of Welsh food, drink, music, and festival fun, marking the perfect start to the Easter holidays. This vibrant festival features live bands and a dedicated kids’ area, aiming to showcase the rich tapestry of artisan caterers, makers, producers, and artists that South Wales has to offer. The festival is set to welcome a mix of new businesses and favourite traders from last year, providing families and friends a wonderful opportunity to sample a wide variety of high-quality local foods and drinks this March.

In addition to the culinary delights, the festival is committed to delivering an authentic festival atmosphere. The dedicated kids’ team will be back, offering an array of workshops, crafts, and entertainment to keep the young attendees engaged, including a cinema area showing two films in the evening to keep the younger festival goers entertained. With children welcome throughout the event and free entry for those accompanied by an adult, the whole family can enjoy live music in a welcoming and safe environment.

The festival is located in the grounds of the Princess Gwenllian Community Centre, at the heart of Kidwelly, a coastal medieval castle town. For those traveling in campervans and motorhomes, parking is available at a nearby carpark, just a five-minute walk from the festival site. Additionally, the festival facilitates a late-night train return to Swansea and Carmarthen, with Kidwelly train station only a two-minute walk away.

We’re pleased to see that The Kidwelly Food & Drink Festival welcomes assistance dogs, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to dine and dance into the 2024 festival season in style. It’s worth noting that while both cash and card payments will be accepted on the day of the event, cash transactions are often preferred by stall holders, particularly in areas where internet connectivity may pose challenges.

For more information, including the full lineup and how to book tickets in advance at a discounted rate (Adults 16+ £12, £15 on the door, kids go free), please visit the festival’s website.
