As part of the Open Doors this year St Oudoceus’s Church will be open for visitors and short guides will be available for visitors to read in the church or take home
The church of St Oudoceus lies in a dell reached through the grounds of The Old Rectory. The Friends of Friendless Churches rescued the church in 2006 from a state of dereliction.
Inside you’ll see a 14th century effigy, supposedly of St Margaret Marlos, a 6th century inscribed stone and a richly carved oak altar of 1882 where you should be able to spot lily of the valley, rose of Sharon and a passion flower.
