Tenby Christmas Lights Switch On

Get ready for a festive day out in the heart of Tenby as the Tenby Christmas Lights Switch-On returns on Saturday 29th November 2025. With music, markets and a visit from Father Christmas, it’s a brilliant way to kick off the season with the whole family.

A Full Day of Festive Fun

The day begins at 9.30am with the Tenby & District Lions Christmas Charity Market, offering a mix of festive stalls and seasonal treats. It’s a great spot to pick up gifts, enjoy something warm and soak up the atmosphere.

From 10.30am, the Steve Briers Disco Roadshow sets the tone with music throughout the day. At 11am, the Tenby Round Table Santa Run brings a burst of energy to the streets, with runners dressed in festive gear for a good cause.

Live Performances in Tudor Square

Entertainment continues from 12 noon, with Lowri Wyn Smith performing live, followed by dance displays from the Kelly Williams School of Dance at 1pm and 3pm. At 1.30pm, enjoy Christmas carols and songs led by the Salvation Army Band and Community Choir, then settle in for live music from Richard Henton at 2pm and Samantha Skyrme-Blackhall at 3.40pm.

The Big Arrival and Lights Switch-On

At 4.45pm, Father Christmas will arrive in Tudor Square, brought ashore by Tenby Lifeboats RNLI and joined by Tenby Fire Station and Tenby Coastguards. The Mayor of Tenby will then officially switch on the Tenby Christmas Lights, bathing the town in festive sparkle.

After the switch-on, Father Christmas will head to St Mary’s Church House to greet children in his grotto, with help from the Tenby & District Lions.

This free event is organised by Tenby Town Council and supported by a host of local groups and volunteers. It’s a lovely way to spend the day with family and friends, and a great excuse to wrap up warm and enjoy the festive spirit.
