3 Ways to Get Your Feet Ready for Sandal Season

With summer just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about getting your feet ready for sandal season. From exfoliating to moisturizing, these three tips will help you get your feet looking and feeling their best.

Summer is just around the corner, and with it comes the joy of wearing sandals. But before you slip into your favourite flip-flops, take a moment to inspect your feet. Are they in need of some TLC? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with these three easy tips to get your feet ready for sandal season.

For National Feet Week this year, we have been gifted some feet products to try out and pamper our feet for a change, in return for us to sharing our honest thoughts about them.

With some exfoliating, moisturising, and giving your nails some attention, you’ll be taking the right steps to ensure our feet will be beach or poolside ready in no time. So, sit back, relax, and read on for some expert advice on how to get your feet in tip-top shape and flip-flops ready with these three easy tips.

Exfoliate for Smoother Skin

One of the easiest ways to get your feet ready for sandal season is to exfoliate for smoother skin. Dead skin cells can build up on your feet over time, leaving them looking dull and feeling rough to the touch. By exfoliating, you can remove these dead skin cells and reveal the softer, smoother skin underneath.

There are a few different ways to exfoliate your feet. You can use a foot scrub or pumice stone in the shower or try an exfoliating foot file after soaking your feet in warm water to help soften the skin. Another option is to use these Footner Exfoliating Socks, they are designed to be a fuss free way to get rid of your hard skin.

All you need to do is pop the Footner socks on and leave them on for 60 minutes so you will need some free time to sit back and let them do their work.

We did find them easy to use, the smell was ok, but initially we did not notice much difference in the smoothness of our feet, but that soon changed, after a few days our feet started to shed the dry skin, reminding us of when snakes sheds their skin, this continues for several days up to a week and then you are left with smooth rejuvenated feet.

We were impressed with the results and would say they are worth a try if you fancy a new addition to your foot care routine.

Whatever method you choose, be gentle when exfoliating your feet. You don’t want to scrub too hard or cause any irritation. And be sure to follow up with a moisturizer to help keep your skin soft and smooth after exfoliating. With a little bit of attention and care, your feet can be ready to rock those sandals in no time!

Moisturise for Softness

To really get your feet ready for sandal season, you must not neglect the importance of moisturising. Keeping your skin soft and supple is key to having healthy-looking feet. After exfoliating, be sure to follow up with a good moisturiser that will penetrate deep into your skin to provide maximum hydration.

Bottle of CCS Foot Care Cream

We used this CCS professional foot care cream. CCS uses a Swedish formulation to provide protective, preventative everyday skincare for your feet. This is the UK’s number one selling foot cream. It contains 10% urea which is a moisturiser that naturally occurs in the human body, to help revitalise dry skin and keep it soft and smooth.

It’s a thick cream that we felt gave an instant relief to tight feeling soles. We love how it has a subtle minty scent which is down to the eucalyptus in it.

Not only does moisturising make your feet look great, but it also helps to prevent dry and cracked heels. This can be especially important during the summer when you’re spending more time outdoors and in open-toe shoes. So, take the time to pamper your feet and show them some love with a good moisturiser, but don’t forget to give your toenails some TLC for a polished and put-together look.

Nail it: TLC for Neglected Feet

After taking care of the skin on your feet, it’s time to give some much-needed attention to your toenails. Neglected toenails can ruin the look of any sandal, so it’s crucial to make sure they’re polished and neat.

Start by giving your toenails a good soak in warm soapy water for a few minutes. This will help soften the nails and make them easier to trim. When trimming your nails, make sure to cut them straight across to avoid any ingrown toenails. After trimming, file down any rough edges and shape your nails to your desired style.

Now it’s time for polish! Choose a colour that complements your skin tone and style. Nailner is very well known for their varnish range, that not only treats a nail infection, but also improves the appearance of the infected nail so you can have better looking nails whilst treating.

We used this Nailner breathable nail polish in rosy, red colour to brighten our toenails up. It’s a healthy alternative to standard nail polishes for nails without fungal infection and helps conceal damaged, discoloured, and dry nails.

This breathable formula allows molecules of oxygen to pass through the polish and down to the nail and is suitable for use with all Nailner treatment products. The formula can be used on infected or healthy nails, as it also helps prevent infection.

We love the bright colour; how easy it paints on and how this Nailner breathable nail polish can be worn on toe and finger nails all year round.

With your toes looking and feeling fabulous, you’re ready to rock those sandals with confidence. Remember, taking care of your feet is not only important for their appearance, but for their health and comfort as well. So don’t neglect them – give them some much-deserved TLC this sandal season.
