St. Davids Escape Room

If you’re looking for an exciting and family-friendly activity in West Wales, St. David’s Escape Room offers an adventure like no other. This interactive experience, inspired by the ‘Crystal Maze’ style of puzzle-solving, is perfect for families, kids, and adult groups. With both an indoor escape room and a one-of-a-kind outdoor low ropes escape, there’s something for every puzzle enthusiast.

Two Unique Escape Experiences

At St. Davids Escape Room, you can take on two thrilling challenges designed to test your problem-solving skills and teamwork:

Low Ropes Escape – If you love the idea of an escape room but prefer the great outdoors, this is the perfect choice. As the first of its kind, this outdoor escape experience blends traditional puzzle-solving with physical obstacles. Players must solve riddles, unlock padlocks, and manoeuvre planks—all while avoiding the ground! The course is designed to be accessible to all ages and abilities, making it a great challenge for the whole family. Sheltered under beautiful trees, it’s an excellent activity for both sunny and drizzly days. The outdoor setting adds an extra layer of excitement and encourages teamwork, making it an ideal choice for family bonding or group outings.

Indoor Escape Room – A more traditional escape room challenge, this game requires players to crack codes, uncover hidden keys, and solve puzzles to escape within an hour. This game is designed to test logic, observation, and communication skills, ensuring that every player has a role to play. Whether you’re an escape room veteran or a first-time participant, the challenge will keep you engaged from start to finish.

Booking & Prices

Tickets cost £18 for adults, £12 for under 16s, and under 6s go free. There’s no online booking system here, so you’ll need to get in touch directly by phone, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or email to check availability and reserve your slot.

Groups of three to eight tend to work best for both escapes, though smaller and larger groups have taken part without any issues. It’s worth mentioning your group’s age range and experience when you book, as there are four difficulty levels to choose from, from family-friendly easy through to a proper challenge for seasoned escape room fans.

St Davids Escape Room sits just outside St Davids and packs two very different challenges into one visit. There’s a traditional indoor escape room, themed around the local coastline, where you’ve got an hour to crack codes, find hidden keys and puzzle your way out before time runs out. Then there’s the outdoor low ropes escape, thought to be the first of its kind, where you solve riddles and unlock planks and padlocks while working your way along a simple course that stays close to the ground. Both have picked up five star reviews, and with trees sheltering the outdoor course, it works just as well on a grey day as a sunny one. St Davids Escape Room genuinely suits everyone from toddlers to grandparents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is booking essential, or can we just turn up?

Walk-ins may be possible, but with limited spaces it's best to book ahead by phone, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger to guarantee your slot.

Can we bring the dog?

Yes, St Davids Escape Room is dog friendly, so your four-legged family member is welcome to join in.

Is the low ropes escape too tricky for younger children?

Not at all. Obstacles sit around a foot off the ground, so the focus is on the puzzles rather than physical difficulty. One group taking part ranged in age from 4 to 76.

Is St Davids Escape Room open all year round?

It's a seasonal attraction, typically running during the school holidays, with occasional extra dates over Christmas. Best to check directly with the venue for current opening dates.

Which escape should we pick if it's raining?

The indoor escape room stays completely dry, while the outdoor low ropes course is sheltered by trees, so both hold up well if the weather turns.
