Tobogganing at Pembrey

Tobogganing at Pembrey is one of the most popular family activities at Pembrey Country Park, home to Wales’ longest Cobra Toboggan ride. Riders climb aboard sledges at the top of the ski slope, taking in sweeping views across the park and coastline before racing back down through the trees.

The course is designed to give a proper thrill without feeling too much for younger riders, with plenty of twists on the way down. Little ones from age three can join in, though under-eights need to ride with an adult, and there’s no need to book ahead either. Tobogganing at Pembrey is well worth adding to your family day out list.

About the Venue

Pembrey Country Park’s Ski and Activity Centre near Burry Port, Carmarthenshire, home to Wales’ longest toboggan ride and loads of outdoor fun.

Pricing

A single toboggan ride costs £4, or you can grab three rides for £10, which is good value if the kids fancy going again straight away (and they usually do). There’s no need to book in advance, you simply turn up on the day and pay at the Activity Centre reception desk. This is a card or cash payment on site rather than online, so it’s worth allowing a bit of time during the school summer holidays, as it can get busy with families making the most of the sunshine.
