Dick Whittington at Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen

Dick Whittington at Lyric Theatre brings a classic family panto to Carmarthen this Christmas, packed with dazzling costumes, toe-tapping songs and more mischief than you can shake a spotted handkerchief at. Penniless Dick sets off for London, where the streets are said to be paved with gold, and his trusty cat tags along for the adventure.

Carmarthen’s own Steve Elias returns as the dame for a third year, after his Best Dame nomination at the Pantomime Awards. Gareth Elis, a familiar face to young S4C Stwnsh fans, plays Dick, with Alexandra George as Queen Rat and Nathan Guy as Idle Jack. Elis James joins virtually as The Spirit of the Bells. Expect plenty of booing, cheering and singing along.

The show runs from 10th to 28th December 2026. There are 7pm evening shows on 10th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 22nd and 23rd (6pm) December, with matinees through the run. Weekend and school holiday days often have two shows, so check the full times below.
