Brynteg Farm Wellbeing Sanctuary is a petting farm in Bynea, Carmarthenshire, offering both private one-to-one sessions and shared farm experience sessions for your family, so you can choose whether you’d like the farm to yourselves or to share the visit with other families. On your guided visit you can meet, feed and pet cheeky goats, rescued chickens, giant rabbits, guinea pigs, a 100 year old rehomed tortoise, a micro pig, rescue alpacas, sheep and ponies, with the farm’s collection slowly growing.
Sessions are booking only and run for around 1.5 hours (sometimes closer to 2), with animal feed included in the price. Weather permitting, children can also take a pony ride, which needs booking in advance and is paid for on the day. Tickets must be bought within 30 minutes of booking your time slot, so it’s worth having your payment details ready.

FAQs
How long does a visit last? ▼
Each session is around 1.5 hours for you and your family, though it sometimes runs closer to 2 hours.
Do we need to book in advance? ▼
Yes, Brynteg is a booking-only farm with no drop-ins. You'll need to reserve a time slot and purchase your tickets within 30 minutes of booking, or the booking becomes void.
Is there disabled access? ▼
Yes, just let the team know when booking and you'll be able to drive directly into the farmyard.
Where do we park? ▼
You'll park in the family's drive, with the farm situated behind the house, so it doesn't look like a typical farm from the outside.
Is there anything we should know before visiting? ▼
As a working farm, visits involve normal animal contact risks such as nips or scratches, and pony rides carry a small risk of falling. Handwashing stations are provided and should always be used after touching animals, since farm animals can carry germs. Pregnant visitors, babies in prams, children under 5, and anyone with a weakened immune system are advised to take extra care, and to speak to a midwife or GP first if unsure.
