Folly Farm

Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire is one of Wales’ best known family days out, combining a world class zoo, a vintage fairground, a farm park and multiple adventure play areas all in one place. It is the kind of attraction where you genuinely need a full day to do it justice, and with a free return visit within seven days included in the ticket price, many families come back twice.

The zoo is home to close to 100 species including the only giraffes in Wales, Eastern black rhinos, Sumatran tigers, penguins, lions, zebras, lemurs, meerkats, camels, red pandas and two-toed sloths. The Tropical Trails indoor house gets you up close with crocodiles, snakes and fruit bats, and behind the scenes animal feeding experiences can be booked for an extra special visit.

The Jolly Barn farm park is Wales’ first Rare Breed Survival Trust approved farm park, with goats, horses, donkeys, pigs, sheep, ferrets and more. A land train tour and daily meet and greet sessions are included. The vintage fairground has 18 restored rides with options to buy an unlimited wristband or pay as you go with tokens. Go-karts, The Big Dig mini diggers and a giant wheel are available at additional cost.

Indoor play includes Carousel Woods, a huge enchanted woodland climbing structure with soft play areas for babies and toddlers, plus farm themed indoor play in the Jolly Barn. Outdoor play areas include pirate adventures, a construction sandpit, pedal tractors and a go-kart track.

There are five food and drink outlets on site including a sit down restaurant, burger bar, coffee shop, ice cream dairy sheds and a pizza café in Carousel Woods. You can check their food hygiene rating before you visit using the button on this page. Picnics are welcome and free parking is available. A bus stop is immediately outside the park on the Tenby to Haverfordwest route.
