Pembrokeshire Sunflowers near Moylegrove started as a lockdown project, when the owners turned a few awkward corners of arable land into seven acres of sunflowers. Since that first planting in 2021, the fields have become a firm family favourite on the Pembrokeshire coast, with sea views in the distance and plenty of room to roam.
The sunflowers feed birds, bees and insects too, and this year there are hives on site for the first time, alongside a wildflower meadow to wander through.
For the little ones there is a woodland play area with swings and slides, pedal tractors, a 12-hole disc golf course, and this year’s new addition, a Welsh dragon maize maze. Bring a picnic or grab light bites on site, wear sensible shoes and keep dogs on a lead.

About Pembrokeshire Sunflowers
Pembrokeshire Sunflowers is a working farm at Trefaes Ganol, Moylegrove, near Cardigan, set in quiet countryside close to the coast. The farm has seen a real boost in wildlife since the sunflowers went in, with growing numbers of hedgehogs and, this year, a nesting pair of red kites overhead, plenty for the kids to spot on your visit.
Prices at Pembrokeshire Sunflowers
Getting into the sunflower field costs £8 per car rather than per person, so it works out good value for bigger families. If you fancy taking some blooms home, cutting a sunflower is £1 each, just bring your own secateurs.
The maize maze is booked separately, with tickets at £10.48 for adults, £5.24 for children and £26.20 for a family ticket (these include a small booking fee). Booking protection can be added for £1, letting you reschedule up to 2 days before your visit if plans change.
Advance booking is essential for the maze and will open nearer the time, so keep an eye on the farm’s own booking link.
Opening Dates and Times
Pembrokeshire Sunflowers opens on 31st July 2026 and runs through August until early September, weather depending. No booking is needed for the sunflower field itself. Opening hours are 10.30am to 5.30pm.
